It’s done. There is just spackling and cleaning to do at the old apartment, but everything at the house has been painted, hung up, and put away. The utility room is still a bit of a mess, but isn’t that what a utility room is for? Holding junk until a better home can be devised.
This is the most wonderful house. I am disappointed to have to go back to work tomorrow, but thrilled to know that I will be coming home not to the move that wouldn’t end, but to our first house. This knowledge will almost make the leaving bearable.
Even washing dishes by hand in my own kitchen wasn’t as awful as I thought it was going to be. Everything about this house makes me feel peaceful, almost Zen.
