My thanks to Patrice over at Whimsically Yours for the Addictive Blog Award.  I'm thrilled that she enjoys my ramblings, and super excited to accept this fun award.  So, without further ado, here are the rules of the award and my responses.

My Blogging Journey:

I first discovered blogging when I was getting my MS in Library Science.  We were playing with all kinds of Web 2.0 tools, and I loved the opportunity to connect with new and interesting people through blogging.  I had to do a blog as a class project, and then I started a book review blog for the middle school library where I was working at the time.  In 2009, I decided to launch my first personal blog here at Blogger.

Since then, my writing has become more focused, and this blog reflects that.  I am a YA fantasy author, but I am first and foremost a reader.  In the last year, I created a 100 books challenge, and this blog has been split between book reviews and writerly rambling ever since.

I blog to be a part of the community of writers and readers.  It's also a great way to sharpen my own thoughts: when I write about something, I am able to think about it in new and different ways.  The bottom line: I blog for enjoyment (mine and my readers) and hope that I won't forget to keep having fun!  After all, that's what it's all about, right?
