Went to this prompt writing class today...wonderful!
Two hours of writing and sharing, three fifteen minute writing prompts, about twenty other local writers...bliss!
My favorite prompt activity was when Nancy passed out old postcards..mine was postmarked 1945, and spurred an abrupt short story about a woman who lost a son in the war and died when she heard the news.
I really enjoyed this. It felt good to be writing by hand again, surprising since I've long preferred the computer to the pen. Thanks to Ms. Dee for telling me about the group!
Didn't you just love Nancy Peacock?! And there really is something about putting actual pen to paper that spurs a different energy and excitement. :)
