The mystery is over 2,500 words now...but I am afraid that it is boring. There's no dialogue yet, and only a twinge of suspense. I'm nowhere near plot yet, just setting the stage. I am worried this may be too much stage setting, but this felt like the place for the story to begin.
It's only a first draft. I have to learn to accept imperfection.
Accepting imperfection - easier said than done for us Type A's! Part of writing is agonizing and overanalyzing. I'm sure you've got something great in the works!
