Snowing in the South

Usually, I have very strong feelings about snow. There's a reason I moved from Michigan to North Carolina.

But today, as the first fat flakes are falling, the little girl in me is stirring, and I kind of want to be lost in the wonder of it all.

No matter what, nature moves on in her own way. Comfort, wonder, and magic seem to be the order of the day.

  1. There is something a little magical about the first snowfall.
(That's coming from a Florida girl who said she would never live far enough north to see snow.)
Now that said girl is a wiser woman--who has lived in Alaska, for Pete's sake--she loves to see those first few flakes.

They lose their sparkle fairly quickly for me though so thanks for this lovely reminder to enjoy the beauty (even if I do it from inside)! ;)
