Beautiful end to the week

Today, it's crisp and clear outside, and the sky tells me we'll see snowfall soon, if the temperature dips far enough. It's a beautiful day, and despite my inability to focus right now, I feel good.

Final exams wrap up today, which means I've got a bit more grading to do before next week. So far, my students have impressed me: I just hope I've prepared them for the next level of college writing!

I started playing with a new story last week, just to pass the time while I wait for January to begin my editing process, and surprisingly, it has captured my attention. Once again, the tale deals with magic, but I am exploring new techniques and loving the discovery of it.

This weekend starts our season of abundance, as we shuttle between parties, fencing meets, and gatherings with friends. And then, in just over two weeks, we'll be adventuring again. This winter we have the opportunity to visit London and Paris for the New Year, and I can't wait to explore London and to see Paris again for the first time in many, many moons.
