100 Books in 2012: Book 73 "Entice"

I got my hands on an ARC of Entice,  the sequel to Jessica Shirvington's Embrace, and I devoured it this month.  Once again, I am so thankful to be a VOYA reviewer: I hadn't heard about the series until recieving this book for review, and now I'm hooked. (Read my review for Embrace back in July.)

Violet thought seventeen couldn't get any worse, but she was wrong.  Lincoln won't talk to her, and Vi is afraid she's losing his forbidden affections to someone she hates.  Then there's the Phoenix problem: he can still push all of Vi's buttons, but he reveals that the game he is playing is much more sinister than manipulation: it's a matter of life and death.  As Violet and the other Grigori struggle to stay one step ahead of Phoenix, Violet is plagued with doubt.  Is she worthy of her important role, or is her soul tainted from her affair with Phoenix?  She wants to hate him, but she can't quite bring herself to it, and that may be the thing that undoes her.

Don't pick up this book until you read Embrace: it moves fast, and you'll be missing a lot.  But for goodness sake, run out and read the first book in this exhilarating trilogy before Entice hits the shelves this fall.  If you like action-packed paranormal with a mythic twist, you will adore this series.

What's your favorite YA paranormal series?
